CHIP Foundation, the pricing engine for AI debt
CHIP Foundation
The CHIP foundation is the pricing engine for AI debt. CHIP holders vote on qualifying hardware, eligibility standards, fees, and which upgrades and integrations go live.
Parameters are set by vote and recorded onchain, so anyone can see how AI debt is priced.
Governance
Every change to how AI debt is priced starts as a public proposal. Holders discuss it in the open, refine it, and then put it to a vote.
Proposals move through two venues: discussion on Discourse, then a binding vote on Snapshot. Results are recorded onchain once a vote closes.
Discourse
The forum is where proposals are drafted and debated. Anyone can read along; CHIP holders can post, comment and signal support before a proposal moves to a vote.
Each thread links the data behind a proposal, from hardware specifications to the fee model it would change.
Snapshot
Snapshot runs the vote. Voting power is measured by CHIP held at the proposal's snapshot block, and every ballot is public.
When a vote passes, the new parameters are queued and recorded onchain, where anyone can check them against the proposal.
Pricing
Pricing parameters are the levers holders vote on. Each one is published with the proposal that set it and the block it took effect.
